Andrei Caquimbo is an oboist at Stetson University under the direction of Dr. Dione Chandler. He specializes in Baroque performances and early music ensembles. As a third-year music performance major, he has organized and produced a Baroque concert series, performing at many locations throughout the central Florida area. He was also awarded the grand prize winner for the “2024 Baroque Music Competition” by the Charleston International Music Competition. Most recently, he was awarded the “2025 Stetson University Concerto Competition” winner and will be performing Hummel's Introduction, Theme and Variations with the University’s Orchestra. Other places of study include attending both the Eastern Music Festival (2024) & the Ozark Music Festival (2025), gaining the opportunity to study with oboists Karen Birch Blundell, Randall Ellis, and Lani Kelly. He is also a member of the Ocala Symphony Orchestra & Lakeland Symphony Orchestra.
